What is the origin of intelligence? Follow the logic, and we can answer this question quite easily.  Begin with the simple observation that everything in the Universe is moving.   Nothing is at rest anywhere.  The Bible is at rest upon the table at which I sit, but while this sentence is being typed, in just the minute of time that has elapsed, the Earth has been rotating on its axis at the rate of about 1000 miles per hour.  If we divide that by 60 minutes per hour, that equals 16.67 miles.  It has moved almost 17 miles in the time it took to type a sentence.      

        Is there something at rest inside the structure of the book?  Of course not.  All of molecular structure consists of particles in constant motion.  Nothing is at rest anywhere in the Universe.  And what is responsible for motion?  It is always the expenditure of energy.  For instance, within the reference frame of me sitting at the kitchen table typing away, the Bible was not moving.  But when I decided to pick it up, it moved because I expended some energy;  first in the form of thought, then in the muscular motion of the arm reaching out to grasp, and so on.    

     Everything is moving because energy is constantly being given off.  Everything in the Universe is contained within the one space that fills this Universe.  Do the logic.  Do not overcomplicate.  Keep it simple.  One space.  One source of energy that moves everything in the Universe.  That means there is only one source of all motion, which means whatever is created or has ever been created, owes its origin to that source.  Does that include intelligence?  Well, wouldn’t it have to, since there is no other source to attribute anything to?
